McMaster Hall on Bloor St. in Toronto was the original site of McMaster University now located in Hamilton, Ontario.  This building now houses the Royal Conservatory of Music.

The First California Midwinter International Exposition was held in Golden Gate Park in 1894.  It was based on the Chicago Columbia Exposition of 1893.  The Administration Building was one of five main exposition buildings on the site.

The World's Columbian Exposition was held in Chicago's Jackson Park in 1893.  Forty-six nations participated, more than 200 buildings (Libbey Glass had a Pavilion).  One exhibit in the Electricity Building featured a 70-foot high tower of light bulbs.

Advertising weight.  "La France Textiles Limited, Woodstock, Ont.  La France Covers Sell Furniture.  Branches with Stocks at Toronto, Ont., Kitchener, Ont., Montreal, P.Q., Winnipeg, Man., Vancouver, B.C."   This red/white coloured weight has a moveable slide on the underside to operate a perpetual calendar on the face.  Label on the underside "Made in England by:  Wedekind & Co., 50, Baker Street, Weybridge, Surrey".  Original backing.
